Wet the garment with a damp cloth and press on the wrinkles for a few seconds. Using your hair dryer, gently blow dry the area and wrinkles away. Use your flat iron to press away wrinkles.
Lint Remover
Use tape or a sticky label to remove lint. A large mailer tape if it’s available. If you work in an office you’ve probably relied on this trick more than once.
Stain Removal
Keep a box of colored chalk on hand for stain emergencies. You can match the color of the stain with the color of the chalk, plus chalk washes right out and won’t ruin fabrics like so many chemical removers can.
Bent Sunglasses
To get sunglasses that may have twisted out of shape back into service, use a hair dryer to mold the plastic.
Tight Pants Solutions
- Grab an Elastic
Take an elastic band and wrap it around your button. Hook it through the button hole and then back on the button or snap.
- Button Extender
Sold at fabric stores, it will give you an extra inch of room in your waist. It fits in the button hole of your pants, and then attaches to the button.
Stuck Zipper
Don’t yank and break that zipper! First try these emergency fixes.
- Run lip balm along the length of the zipper until it comes free.
- Take a birthday candle, and wipe it down the zipper.
