You wouldn’t believe the lengths that have been reached by women to get teeth their whitest, especially before a really important romantic date. Here are some inexpensive, easy, and most of all safe ways to clean and whiten your teeth.
Hydrogen Peroxide
Mix 1/2 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide with one teaspoon baking soda. It should form a soft paste. Keep adding more baking soda until it does. Use this solution once a week, being careful to avoid your gums. This formula will reduce tarter and remove coffee and wine stains.
Dip unwaxed dental floss in hydrogen peroxide to bright spaces between teeth where discoloration often starts.
Salt
Mix 3 tablespoons of baking soda with 2 teaspoons salt for a safe and natural cleanser for teeth.
Breath Alert
To keep your breath its freshest be sure to brush your tongue every time you brush your teeth. Your tongue contains lots of bacteria that can contribute to bad breath.
Cozy Up with Tea
The natural chemicals in black and green tea get rid of the bacteria that contribute to bad breath. Boil a strong cup of mint (peppermint, spearmint, etc.) tea. Cool and use as a rinse.
Chew Parsley
It contains tons of chlorophyll, which is the active ingredient in breath mints.
Check Mouthwash Labels
Make sure the ingredients contain antibacterial properties to kill bacteria.
Honey Clove Rinse
Mix half a cup honey with one teaspoon of ground gloves. This mouthwash is also good as a sore throat gargle, and can be thinned if desired.
Drink Lots of Water
Make sure you drink plenty of water to wash away bacteria and to encourage saliva production.
