- Create a Daily Menu. Write down what you plan to eat for the day. Check off each food item as you eat it.

- Keep Pictures Around. You’ll find this to be especially helpful if you keep pictures on the refrigerator or favorite food cabinet. It may be a vacation destination, a special event you’re planning to attend, or even a picture of you at your lightest or heaviest. Whatever motivates you to step away from the bad stuff.
- Be Aware of your mood. Writing down your mood before you pick up something to eat will help you stay away from emotional eating traps.
- Cut it up. Taking small bites helps to make a meal last longer and be more satisfying. Chow down in big mouthfuls and you’ll be asking yourself, “Where did it go?”
- Just say “No”! Social eating is a scary trap. Don’t avoid the social scene just because you’re watching your weight. Go for the people. Become the designated conversationalist. You can hold a beverage in your hand if it makes you feel more comfortable.
- Always eat breakfast. The first meal jump starts your metabolism and gives you energy that further burns calories.
- Firm up your arms. To get your arms toned and tight without getting bulky, use light free weights from 5 to 8 pounds. Research has shown that weight training is more effective for building bone strength than running or even swimming.
- Improve Your Jaw line. Get rid of a double chin with this simple exercise that can be done whenever you have a spare moment. Open your mouth and pull your lower lip over your bottom teeth.
