You can be beautiful in person but if you can’t get it across in a photo, you won’t be able to brag about your looks to your grandchildren. You can use some tips to look fabulous in every photo you take. As you may have found out, the worst pictures seem to last the longest.
Makeup
Don’t use moisturizer under your foundation. It can look “greasy” in a photo. Use extra powder, but make sure it’s matte not translucent for best results. If flash photography is used, go heavier than usual with your makeup. Avoid frosts or odd colors.
Colors
Black is not always the best color because it can bring out under eye circles and shadows. White washes your complexion out. Choose vibrant primary colors, and avoid faded pastels. Avoid patterns which grab too much attention away from the face.
Turn Your Head Slightly
By turning your head slightly to the side you make your face appear slimmer. When you do so, be sure to look slightly up. It will create a better angle and flatter your profile.
Lift your Elbows
Take your elbows away from your body. Having them hang by your sides makes your arms look like they’re part of your body and subsequently adds weight.
Lean and Step
Place one foot in front of the other and lean back from the camera. This lengthens the body and creates a leaner look.

Rely on the Tongue Trick
To avoid a double chin in your next picture, press your tongue to the roof of your mouth when you pose. By doing this you will not be able to drop your chin
Trick for a Natural Look
To take a good photo, even the freshest face needs makeup. Otherwise the features will appear bland and none descript. To infuse natural color into the lips, pout at the mirror. Pull the lower lip down. Then choose a color that most matches the lightest shade of the middle of your bottom lip. Replicate that color to accentuate both cheeks and eyes.
